The work is moving ahead now the guys from Be Constructive prepared all the work surfaces on monday ensuring they were all dry and dust free and yesterday made progress with starting to install the system, you will see from the images they have fitted the aluminum starter track to the base of the house with hammer fixings ready to take the EPS insulation.

The EPS is applied to the wall with a universal adhesive Kreisel Styrlep 220 with a border around the perimeter of the board and a dot and dab down the centre of the board ( as pictured below ) the 1st layer resting on the starter track and working its way up in a stretcher bond formation.

When cutting the EPS it can be very messy, to reduce this we recommend using a hot wire cutter, it reduces  mess and give a more precise cut than a hand saw.

for the next couple of days the team at Be constructive will be fixing the rest of the insulation panels to the rest of the house so we will be back with some updates and pictures towards the end of this week.

see you soon!
